What Is AFK in GTA 6 Online?

AFK stands for "Away From Keyboard" and refers to methods of earning money or RP while you're not actively playing. In GTA Online, several businesses generated income passively, making AFK strategies a core part of money-making.

How AFK Income Works

Certain businesses in GTA Online produced goods over time:

  • Nightclub — Accrues goods from all linked businesses passively
  • MC Businesses — Produce product that can be sold
  • Bunker — Manufactures weapons for sale

You'd leave the game running (often in a mission to avoid daily fees) and come back to accumulated goods worth hundreds of thousands.

AFK Tips

  1. Start a Contact Mission to avoid daily utility fees while AFK
  2. Rubber-band your controller to prevent idle kick
  3. Watch a security camera in your Nightclub (prevents idle kick without rubber banding)
  4. Make sure all businesses are stocked with supplies before going AFK
  5. Set a timer so you come back before your stock gets raided
